This seems obvious, but in this case it is crucial. As every camera vendor pre-configures their products differently - some vendors do not even have a contineous way over all their products in house - we canot give a standard way to deal with cameras.
Manuals usually are more complex than they would need to be and contain much more information you will ever need. A list with need to know and want to know information:
Default IP address
Default login and password
Default RTSP or RTMP port
Streaming path of the main stream
What's the resolution of the camera stream and is it adjustable?
Does the camera have a night vision mode?
Does the camera come with a special software or is the UI webbased?
Is there a way to remotely adjust the hardware? e.g. moving the lense, zoomin in and out, etc.
Can the stream be manipulated? e.g. Digital zoom, cropping, privacy overlay
Are there any watermarks on the stream and can they be removed?
