Camera & Device Monitoring

This page describes the different status devices and camera streams can have and what to expect.

Basic monitoring

In the SWARM Control Center, you will find a basic monitoring status on the camera as well as the device level. This status will show if your cameras are up and running or if there is any need for action to get them up and running again.

In the camera overview of your devices and dashboards, you will find the camera monitoring, which tells you if your camera is working as expected. In device configuration, you find the device monitoring, which shows the worst state of all cameras running on the device

Find out how to configure automatic email alerts for status changes in our Monitoring Alerts section.

Device Connection Status

If your device appears offline and this is not intended, please follow our Troubleshooting Guidelines!

Device Status

The device monitoring depends on the worst status of the stream monitoring in order to give you an overview in your device list on devices where a camera is not working as expected.

Stream Monitoring Status

The monitoring takes into consideration the system, the camera input, and the MQTT connection.
